LOCATION: Columbus, WI SUMMARY: Secure, support, and maintain the company Infrastructure Technology systems including network infrastructure, data, software, phone system, video conferencing system, mobile devices, and computers. Provide 1st and 2nd level support for all company IT systems.

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM field; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MCSE, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer valuable, but not required.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard all computer systems and digital information by following company security procedures and information security best practices
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
  • Minimize downtime of supported systems
  • Monitor usage and performance for peak efficiency.
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades as directed or necessary
  • Create and manage user accounts, shares, and permissions
  • Have a working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Participate on IT project Teams as required.
  • Provide professional support to internal customers for hardware and software issues.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Provide 7 x 24 on-call support 1 week every 2 months (estimated)
  • Work during off hours and weekends as needed.
  • Demonstrate a basic working knowledge in the following hardware, software and technologies
  • Information security
  • Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • VMWare and virtualized environments.
  • Office 365
  • Microsoft SCCM
  • Print Server support/ Network Printers
  • Mobile device support including smartphones and tablets
  • Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting
  • Virus remediation
  • Troubleshoot network problems.
  • Keep backups current and manage tape libraries
  • Work with your team members to provide support to the whole company
  • Keep current on IT skills and trends.
  • Other duties as assigned.
