About The Position

The IT Technician is responsible for assisting with all operations of the computer hardware, software and systems of the resort, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and rectifying any problems which arise. Essential Functions Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort. Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag. Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary. Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. Consult with management to determine information requirements and to determine priorities and parameters of new projects; discuss system capacity and equipment acquisitions. Consult with systems hardware analysts to define equipment needs. Review project feasibility studies. Establish work standards. Prepare progress reports to inform management of project status and any deviation from goals. Assist with contracting technical specialists or vendors to solve problems. Revise computer operating schedule to introduce new program testing and operating runs. Review reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to ascertain costs and plan operating changes. Assist staff to diagnose and solve computer equipment problems. Participate in technical projects such as writing equipment specifications or developing computer programs for specified applications. Maintain and stay abreast of the latest computer programs/innovations (as applicable) Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in IT, systems, or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must
  • Must be 18 to operate a golf cart

  • Experience in a resort or related industry helpful.
