As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for assisting employees with questions on the usage of technology and for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software, and networks. Pay for this position is $29 - $32 per hour.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot technology issues for employees over the phone and in person.

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills relevant to an Information Technology position, with at least one year of recent applicable experience.
  • Expertise in computer hardware and software systems and programs including but not limited to emails, industry specific software, telecommunications, computer networks, network administration and network installation
  • Ability to prioritize multiple "High Priority" request for most efficient operations
  • Ability to remain patient and professional when faced with difficult situations
  • Ability to demonstrate proper techniques for using company's technology resources
  • Ability to understand, and keep abreast of, regulations that impact business, customer and employee information security
  • Ability to wear proper safety equipment
  • Ability to facilitate and/or conduct technical training on use of equipment and software to employees
  • Extreme Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to interact well with others and be a positive influence on morale of department, dealership and organization
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; and one to two-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Microsoft Certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assisting employees with questions on the usage of technology

  • Provide timely support, response, and resolution of technology issues
  • Granting access and setting up and installing new devices and hardware
  • Understand and comply with all regulations that affect the IT department
