About The Position

Behind that work is a technology environment that must be secure, reliable, and thoughtfully managed. We are currently seeking an IT Systems & Security Manager to oversee and strengthen our technology infrastructure and security environment. The IT Systems & Security Manager is responsible for the design, stability, security, and performance of Dental Crafters’ core IT systems. This role oversees server environments, virtualization, backup and disaster recovery planning, Microsoft 365 administration, identity and access security, and network security to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operations. This position establishes technical standards, manages systems and security-related vendors, supports business continuity, and maintains documentation and controls that protect the Company’s environment. The IT Systems & Security Manager collaborates with the IT Applications Manager to ensure business systems operate effectively within established security and infrastructure standards while consistently modeling and promoting the Company’s values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered
  • Advanced experience managing Windows Server and virtualization environments
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and identity security
  • Demonstrated expertise in networking, firewall administration, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Experience designing and testing disaster recovery and backup strategies
  • Proven vendor management and budgeting experience
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production-driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to move throughout office and production environments as needed; bend, stretch, kneel, and work in confined spaces; lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds; and safely use tools when performing equipment installation, cabling, or hardware maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, ITIL, or similar credentials preferred

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Windows Server environments, Hyper-V virtualization, Lenovo server hardware, and storage architecture (NAS)
  • Own enterprise backup strategy and administration using Veeam, including restore testing and disaster recovery planning
  • Maintain high availability and business continuity standards
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environment, including Entra ID, Conditional Access, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive governance
  • Manage M365 licensing strategy and identity security controls
  • Maintain network architecture including Unifi infrastructure, Unifi Protect, WatchGuard firewalls, VPN access, and network segmentation
  • Administer cybersecurity tools including CrowdStrike EDR and related monitoring platforms
  • Implement identity security standards including passwordless authentication, passkeys, YubiKey deployment, and password management systems
  • Manage and maintain endpoint environments, including Windows workstations, hardware lifecycle standards, mobile device management (Android and iOS), print/scan fleet, Zebra printers, and production device systems
  • Manage vendor relationships, infrastructure documentation, and long-term technology planning — including contract coordination, renewals, system diagrams, security protocols, and IT budgeting related to systems and security
  • Respond to infrastructure or security incidents as necessary
  • Consistently model and support the Company’s values
