This summer, we are looking for motivated individuals looking to begin a career in our IT Operations department to support our Infrastructure team. You will work with teams that are responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. This role is remote. The anticipated hourly rate for this role is $27.00.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Rising juniors and seniors ideally graduating within 1-2 semesters.
  • Proficient in Windows product internals, advanced debugging, software integration.
  • Key knowledge is Microsoft based server product lines
  • Possesses basic skills and knowledge related to server, operating systems, mid-range hardware, and storage back up devices.
  • General knowledge of mid-range platforms and the technology to support them (i.e., SAN, NAS, Messaging, SCCM, Active Directory)
  • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Performs standard diagnostic tests and procedures as directed by a manager or higher level Systems Administrator.
  • Participates in the development of life-cycle oriented processes and procedures.
  • Implements test plans, migration plans and delivery plans per detailed instructions and specifications.
  • Provides administrative and other assistance in integrating new programs/designs into production.
  • Creates/completes documentation and administrative processes necessary to move new programs to production.
