Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience as a network/server administrator/engineer position for 5+ years
  • High level Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, Group Policy, Server, email and Domain management.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 in an Exchange Hybrid Environment.
  • Working knowledge of RDS Farm topology components
  • Working knowledge of two-tiered PKI in a Microsoft Windows environment with ADCS.
  • Experience with Microsoft NPS server.
  • Experience with 802.1x Wi-Fi utilizing EAP-TLS and PEAP-MSCHAPv2.
  • Experience with industry standard infrastructure components such as HPE/Dell/Cisco UCS servers, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco switches, Meraki/Ruckus Wireless Access Points, Dell SANs, Cisco/Avaya phone systems, and Veeam backup.
  • Experience with Virtualization Platforms VMWare vSphere and Hyper-V.
  • Understanding of Security Fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage existing infrastructure environment to provide 24/7 operating capability.
  • Assist team members on various IT-related projects or day-to-day tasks.
  • Independently diagnose complex hardware and software problems and implement corrective solutions.
  • Plan, implement and document Cloud migrations or Windows server installations, migrations, and upgrades.
  • Maintain physical servers running in hypervisor clusters with SAN-backed storage.
  • Maintain physical servers running standalone hypervisors with direct attached storage (DAS).
  • Maintain a Windows RDS server farm.
  • Setup and maintain Veeam backups utilizing NAS, cloud and tape repositories.
  • Assist with administration of Active Directory, Group Policies, DHCP, DNS (internal and external), Microsoft 365, and Azure AD.
  • Work with infrastructure team to track vulnerabilities, apply remediations and patches to network and server assets.
  • Contribute to IT knowledgebase with detailed documentation of design and configuration information.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure components such as LANs, WANs, VPNs, Wi-Fi networks, routers/firewalls, switches, and battery backups is essential.
  • Assist in annual disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Prompt response to system outages or service problems. May require off-hours work.
