About The Position

TPI is searching for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team. This is full-time onsite position in Des Moines, IA. Position Summary: The IT Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining TPI’s network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess requirements, develop solutions, and support mission-critical systems. The IT Systems Engineer’s expertise will contribute to the reliability, security, and scalability of TPI’s network environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in system engineering, network administration, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS)
  • Experience with virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) and cloud computing (Azure).
  • Proficiency in network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity scripting languages (PowerShell) and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise AI practices.
  • Familiarity with Tenable, Sentinel One or other security and monitoring software.
  • Familiarity with administrating MDM platforms (N-Able, Addigy).

Nice To Haves

  • 4-year degree in related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of Systems Engineer / Network Engineer experience
  • Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE

Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage solutions.
  • Develop and implement system architecture and integration strategies.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources.
  • Ensure system security through patches, updates, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Automate tasks and improve efficiency through scripting and configuration tools.
  • Collaborate with software developers, DevOps, and IT Teams to support application deployment.
  • Maintain documentation, including system configurations and standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Maintain backup solutions (Veeam, Azure)
