The IT Systems Engineer II requires both proven experience, outstanding customer service and personal communication skills. The successful candidate is a leader, who identifies problems, participates in designing solutions, and holds themselves accountable. Requirements

  • previous managed service provider (MSP) experience
  • 5+ years hands-on experience
  • possesses strong leadership, organizational and time-management skills
  • results-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable and a team player

Nice To Haves

  • sales training/experience is a plus
  • CompTIA Net+ and/or CompTIA Security+
  • CCNA or CCIE-Cisco certifications a real plus
  • Microsoft certifications for Microsoft 365, Azure, Security

Responsibilities

  • setting up, configuring, troubleshooting networks
  • Windows servers and workstations
  • Active Directory
  • O365
  • deep experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V
  • experienced with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS
  • setting up, configuring firewalls such as Sonicwall, Sophos, Watchguard, Fortinet, Cisco
  • backup technologies including cloud-based backups such as Datto, Veeam
  • experience with RMM (remote monitoring and management) such as Kaseya, ticketing system such as Autotask or Connectwise
  • provided exceptional customer service and technical expertise on inbound calls and tickets generated by customers
  • performed onsite systems, network and security assessments using standard best practices and industry standard tools (ed Network Detective/RapidFire)
