About The Position

The Application Owner – Manhattan Active WMS is responsible for the ownership, steady-state operations, and continuous improvement of the Manhattan Active (cloud) Warehouse Management System across a multi-site pharmaceutical distribution network. This is a techno-functional leadership role combining subject matter expertise and hands-on platform administration. The individual will own the full application lifecycle from business intake through configuration build and deployment, manage a team of technical and business analysts alongside relevant vendor resources, and serve as the single point of IT accountability for the platform across three or more distribution center locations. The role requires deep functional knowledge of Manhattan Active WMS, a compliance-first mindset suited to a SOX, GxP, and ITGC-regulated environment, and the ability to build trusted partnerships with Distribution, Supply Chain, Quality, and senior IT leadership.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related - Required
  • 5 years or more in Hands on experience with WMS and related platforms in a pharmaceutical company
  • 5 years or more in Experience integrating Manhattan WMS with JDE/SAP ERP, including a working understanding of interface design and data mapping.
  • 5 years or more in Experience of working with serialization system and MDM systems.
  • 5 years or more in Demonstrated experience in post go-live application ownership in a steady-state, multi-site environment rather than solely implementation or project-mode roles.
  • 5 years or more in Experience operating in a SOX, GxP, and ITGC-regulated environment, including audit support and change control compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own system stability, performance, roadmap, and continuous improvement of the Manhattan Active WMS platform across all distribution centers.
  • Ensure seamless integration and data consistency between WMS, ERP (SAP/JDE), serialization (rfXcel), and MDM (Reltio), supporting end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Ensure all system changes, access controls, and operations comply with SOX, GxP, and IT governance standards, maintaining audit readiness at all times.
  • Manage internal teams and external partners, driving accountability, performance, and capability development while ensuring delivery quality and adherence to commitments.
  • Serve as the primary IT partner to Supply Chain, Distribution, and Operations, ensuring system capabilities align with business needs and drive efficient warehouse operations.
  • Own the application roadmap in partnership with Supply Chain, Distribution, and IT leadership.
  • Drive end-to-end integration between WMS and SAP ERP to ensure seamless order, inventory, and shipment flows, including alignment on master data, transaction processing, and exception handling.
  • Coordinate with serialization platform (rfXcel) to ensure accurate product tracking, compliance with DSCSA requirements, and proper handling of serialized data across inbound, outbound, and distribution processes.
  • Partner with MDM (Reltio) to ensure master data integrity and synchronization across WMS, ERP, and other systems, enabling consistent product, customer, and location data for accurate warehouse operations and reporting.
