About The Position

The Group Technology Services (GTS) division is responsible for planning, building, and running Euroclear's global infrastructure, as well as IT service management for the Group's operating entities. GTS ensures IT systems and services deliver agreed-upon service levels at benchmarked costs, supporting business processes during normal operations and disaster recovery. The Virtual Infrastructure Services team aims to provide the best computing experience to Euroclear's internal clients (platforms, office, and business applications) through innovative virtualized services via its Converged and Hyper-Converged infrastructures. The team is seeking a new member to manage, support, and evolve Cohesity Backup, Converged (Vxblock) / Hyper-Converged (Nutanix) infrastructure, and various hypervisor technologies (vSphere, Acropolis, Azure) in a 24/7 production environment. A primary goal for this position is to design and build automation solutions for virtual infrastructure services to reduce manual efforts and increase team efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in service engineering or service operations.
Good knowledge of backup platforms, with at least 2 years experience with Cohesity in larger IT environments.
Good knowledge of storage platforms (S3, file solutions, …), with at least 2 years experience with storage solutions in larger IT environments.
Good knowledge with management of VMware virtualization environments.
Good knowledge with Nutanix hyper-converged infrastructures.
Good knowledge with converged infrastructures (Vxblock).
Passion for automation and DevOps.
Knowledge and experience in Ansible and Tower and PowerShell.
Fluent in English.
Working experience in an Agile context.
Drive and energy, entrepreneurial demeanor, hands-on mentality.
Open to work in a fast moving technical and human environment.
Able to quickly diagnose system problems and implement solutions to restore functionality.
Continuing to perform efficiently during difficult situations with high pressure.

Experience with storage infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain technologies within the IT infrastructure, ensuring all software and hardware components are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Implement and use monitoring tools to ensure system availability and performance; perform routine system audits and capacity planning.
Work with development teams and other IT staff to support infrastructure needs and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems and procedures.
Implement and maintain security best practices for infrastructure, including patch management, antivirus solutions, and vulnerability assessments.
Support the automation of recurrent activities.
Propose harmonization of existing automation developments.
Participate in Day-to-Day service support (incident, alerts, changes, …).
Provide on-call support during out-of-business hours (24/7 watch duty).
Take part in the disaster recovery management for the virtual infrastructure (RDR, SWAP, LDR, …).
Offer consulting services to “OS” teams (Windows, Linux, Office, Tandem, Mainframe), projects and other customers.
Support the private cloud strategy in the organization.
Develop solutions based on analysis of business and technical requirements.
Develop architecture and design of projects.
Develop effective relationships with other key IT experts.
Work in coordination with the Product Owner, Solution Architects and with other teams/tribes.
