About The Position

The purpose of this classification is to supervise the day-to-day operations and staff involved in the development, maintenance and analysis of assigned computer systems, networks, operating systems, databases and applications, a customer relations team, and/or a project management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, information technology, or related field required
• Five years of progressively responsible experience in a centralized Information Technology organization, to include lead experience
• Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license
• Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff
• Organizes, prioritizes, and assigns work
• Supervises operations and activities involved in the design, development, maintenance, implementation or analysis of assigned computer systems, communications networks, databases, voice and data networks and applications
• Coordinates projects, communications, information, and personnel to meet County technology needs
• Monitors and evaluates assigned technology functions, systems, and activities
• Provides guidance, direction and information regarding assigned technology projects and functions
• Assists in the development and preparation of the annual budget for assigned technology functions and projects
• Maintains an awareness of new applications, technologies, technical methods, trends, and advances in the profession
