About The Position

We're hiring an IT Support Specialist who will serve as the frontline of technical assistance across the organization. This role provides timely, customer-focused support for hardware, software, network, and account-related issues. The ideal person is a natural problem-solver who communicates clearly, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely enjoys helping others succeed through technology.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or a related technical role
  • Strong understanding of Windows and/or macOS environments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, email clients, and common business applications
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, WiFi)
  • Experience with ticketing systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Capable of lifting equipment (typically up to 25 lbs.)

Responsibilities

  • Provide first level support for incoming helpdesk tickets via phone, email, chat, or in person
  • Troubleshoot issues related to Windows/macOS, productivity applications, printers, and mobile devices
  • Assist with password resets, account provisioning, and access management
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity problems
  • Escalate complex issues with clear documentation
  • Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripherals
  • Install, update, and maintain approved software applications
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure devices meet security standards
  • Log all support interactions in the ticketing system with accurate details
  • Create and update knowledge base articles for common issues
  • Follow established IT procedures and contribute to process improvements
  • Communicate solutions in a friendly, patient, and easy-to-understand manner
  • Provide guidance to nontechnical users and help them feel confident using technology
  • Maintain professionalism and empathy during high pressure situations
