About The Position

Barrington Orthopedic Specialists is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist to join our practice. Your primary duties would be to assist the Director of IT to establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for the Information Technology department. The IT Support Specialist duties include: Network administration and helpdesk activities servicing Barrington Orthopedic Specialists and all ancillary companies. Analyze the needs of different departments and determine ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Analyze, troubleshoot and evaluate technology issues. Responsible for onboarding new hires and assisting with one-on-one training, logging equipment, and troubleshooting IT related equipment such as Windows Servers, VM WARE, Server backups, Network Switches, Laptops, Workstations, Ring Central Phone System, Printers, X-Ray Modalities, Fax and credit card machines. This role may support employees by helping them via the telephone or giving instructions on how to use business-specific programs or working with other vendors to resolve problems. Travel to other locations may be required (Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Bartlett, Buffalo Grove, Palatine)

Requirements

  • College graduate or IT Certification / education with Microsoft Certification preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience, knowledge of servers and networks required.
  • 1+ years of experience in healthcare preferred.
