About The Position

Kohler Credit Union is looking for a motivated IT professional ready to develop their skills and grow within a supportive organization. This full-time, onsite position is based at our Corporate Center and partners closely with other branch locations. While the main focus is help desk support, you'll also assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, and occasionally contribute to network or system-level tasks. Position Overview The IT Support Specialist provides technical assistance and resolves issues across computer systems in a variety of environments. This role emphasizes help desk support but also includes hardware and software setup, system maintenance, and network support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in technical support or IT systems in a professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for technical support requests and deliver timely solutions.
  • Assist staff with system access, software usage, and troubleshooting across devices and platforms.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call rotations as needed.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform routine system maintenance to optimize performance.
  • Work with system administrators on system-level updates and upgrades.
  • Support the rollout of new technologies and IT initiatives.
  • Record and track incidents using the help desk ticketing system.
  • Maintain accurate IT asset documentation and inventory.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to IT processes and support procedures.
  • Provide guidance and training to users on hardware, software, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies during all support and setup activities.
