About The Position

ACRS seeks a full-time Admin-IT - IT Support Specialist who provides technical support to end users, troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues. Manages operating systems and deploys workstations. Schedule: Mon Fri, no weekend work!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year related work experience; OR
  • Associate’s degree and 1-2 years of related work experience; AND
  • One (1) year experience Microsoft Windows environment, supporting Microsoft network, and experience Office 365 administration.
  • Ability to provide effective and respectful service to employees, visitors and clients of diverse cultural beliefs and practices.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to use non-technical approaches to train others in the use of computer hardware and software.
  • Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple concurrent projects with various departments.
  • Effective ability to navigate a personal computer. Competency in use of the Microsoft Office and other relevant software for word processing, calendaring, e-mail, and data entry. Efficiently research and perform various tasks via the internet.
  • Regularly required to walk; use hands and arms to reach and operate objects, tools, or controls. Must occasionally lift up to/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Work is primarily done in office with some opportunity for remote work which is determined department needs. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.

  • Experience in PowerShell scripting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Tier I and II technical support for users. Responds to users support requests both in person, over the phone and ticket queue.
  • Troubleshoots software and hardware issues. Reimages computers operating system. Deploys workstations. Communicates with software vendor or accesses on-line technical supports to obtain software updates, upgrade, and or other fixes. Monitors and evaluates efficiency of software/hardware usage.
  • Creates documentation, tutorials and trains users in start-up, basic and advanced use of software. Coordinates and conducts group training. Creates new users accounts and provides new user orientation.
  • Provides administrative and technical support for meetings, and events.
  • Attends all agency, program and team meetings, in-service trainings, and supervision.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned by management.

  • Pay range is between $58,600 to $63,800 annually. Can increase based on experience.
