Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of IT concepts: operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), basic networking, hardware, and software
  • Degree, diploma, or relevant coursework in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on learning
  • A genuine curiosity for technology and a strong desire to learn and grow in the IT field
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in dynamic environments

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, lab, volunteer, or part-time IT experience
  • Exposure to help desk software or IT service management (ITSM) tools
  • Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITF, Microsoft Fundamentals, or Google IT Support
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, mobile device management (MDM), or remote support tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software applications
  • Troubleshoot basic IT problems related to Windows/macOS/Linux, Microsoft 365, email, and connectivity
  • Log, track, and document support requests and resolutions in our ticketing system
  • Adhere to IT security policies, procedures, and compliance standards
  • Collaborate with senior IT staff to escalate complex issues and contribute to team projects
  • Participate in IT operational tasks, system updates, and rollout support
