Minco has an outstanding opportunity for you to join our IT team as a full-time IT Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist I provides front-line, on-site technical support to end users across the organization. This role is responsible for supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft applications, printers, and general day-to-day IT support needs. This position is customer-facing and requires strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a service-oriented mindset.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365 applications
  • Basic understanding of printers, peripherals, and workstation hardware
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols and configurations
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Associate degree in information technology or equivalent work experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or desktop support role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
  • Experience in imaging and upgrading devices with Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT asset management tools
  • Exposure to Active Directory user and computer management
  • CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for end-user hardware, software, and peripheral issues
  • Troubleshoot and support Windows operating systems
  • Support Microsoft applications and services, including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, and printers
  • Diagnose and resolve common workstations, printing, and connectivity issues
  • Respond to and document help desk tickets
  • Perform user account support tasks such as password resets and basic Active Directory requests
  • Assist with the Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrade project, including device readiness, upgrades, and post-upgrade support
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff as appropriate
  • Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security best practices
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when supporting end users
  • Other duties as assigned
