About The Position

The IT Specialist will provide first-line technical support to end-users, laboratories, and branch locations throughout the North Central Division. Job Responsibilities: This role requires strong team and customer communication skills, troubleshooting skills, the ability to resolve hardware, software, and networking issues. Provide first-level technical support for Windows desktops/laptops, local and network printing, networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN), and specialty/proprietary lab systems. Support daily operations of the North Central Divisional IT infrastructure across 10,000+ devices. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues completely and accurately; provide training to end-users as needed. Process hardware/software requests including ordering, setup, installation, and testing. Collaborate and Route advanced/second-level system issues to the appropriate internal teams. Support networking and infrastructure as smart hands within divisional boundaries. Assist with specialty laboratory system support and configuration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience providing desktop, network, or IT support in a corporate or laboratory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN).
  • Experience with networking, hardware/software installation, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and independently while prioritizing multiple tasks in a high-demand environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting laboratory or healthcare IT systems preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with specialty or proprietary lab applications preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in a large-scale, multi-location IT support environment is highly preferred.
