About The Position

Alternatives FCU is seeking a IT Support Specialist to join our IT Department. Alternatives is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) credit union serving Tompkins and surrounding counties, and is proud to find solutions for those left behind by the mainstream financial institutions. CDFIs share a common goal of expanding economic opportunity in low-income communities by providing access to fair financial products and services for local residents and businesses. This mission is rooted in a deep commitment to equity and justice. The IT Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for members and staff experiencing IT issues. They will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for computer systems, software, and hardware The ideal candidate will have a positive, solution focused, collaborative attitude. The ideal candidate will have the equivalent of a two-year college degree, the completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or have two to five years of similar or related experience. This position is an on-site position and must have the ability to travel to provide support at other branch locations as required. We believe that lasting impact starts from within.
