About The Position

The Broadcast IT Support Specialist is in charge of providing second level support for both wired and wireless devices.  IT tasks include: user account creation, software updates, patch deployment, and asset tracking.Admin tasks include; network printer support, daily server backups, document and monitor issues, maintain corporate compliance and documentation; configure, deploy, and support IT connectivity to broadcast equipment throughout the studio and transmitter sites.  Assist the broadcast operations team with projects and emergencies.

Requirements

  • Advanced use of various Windows Server operating systems and applications and services. Remote Desktop services, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Advanced use of out of band management tools, IDRAC, BMC, HPRGS, and Raritan.
  • Proficient with Group policy creation, and trouble shooting.
  • Advanced trouble shooting experience with Windows 10.
  • Proficient with macOS and Adobe Creative Cloud suite.
  • Advanced use of Operating system deployment tools and concepts like MDT, and bare metal recover tools like Ghost, and Acronis.
  • Advanced use of common patch application SCCM, BigFix, WSUS, JAMF Pro
  • Proficient use of OneDrive, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced use with various Antivirus tools and drive encryption software.
  • Advanced with iPhone, iPad and other various 5G / 5G+ / 5GUW devices, Experience with Android is a plus.
  • Advanced with wired and wireless network connectivity.
  • Minimum of 7 years related experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with TV AES and SDI signals, and ATSC transport streams in a broadcast environment is desired.
  • Previous experience and ability to install, maintain, upgrade, and configure standard broadcast television equipment is desired.
