About The Position

At CyrusOne, our IT Internship Program is built on one principle: real work, real impact. As an IT Intern, you won’t be doing busy work—you’ll be embedded in meaningful projects that directly support our business and help shape the future of digital infrastructure. From AI and automation to data analytics and core technology systems, you’ll gain hands-on experience in one of the fastest-growing industries in the world: data centers. IT Internship Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid - 3 days on site) Duration: 8–10 weeks (depending on team) Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) What You Will Do: Interns will be aligned to one of several IT workstreams based on skills and interests, including: AI & Automation: Identify opportunities to apply AI, pilot tools, and help teams adopt new technologies AI Engineering & Solutions: Build bots, automations, and lightweight applications to solve real business problems Data & Analytics: Develop dashboards, analyze trends, and turn data into actionable insights Project Management & Transformation: Support high-impact initiatives and help drive execution across IT programs Software Engineering: Build tools, integrations, and enhancements that improve systems and workflows Network Services: Monitor performance, analyze data, and support infrastructure reliability Desktop & End User Experience: Improve employee technology experience and reduce friction in daily work What Makes This Program Different: Real Impact: Work on projects tied directly to business priorities—not side tasks Executive Exposure: Present your work and ideas to senior IT and business leaders Hands-On Learning: Partner with experienced professionals and gain practical, in-demand skills Industry Exposure: Get an inside look at the data center industry powering cloud, AI, and digital transformation Example Projects: Build an internal AI chatbot to support employees Create dashboards to track IT performance and trends Automate service desk workflows using AI Analyze operational data to identify risks and opportunities Support rollout of new tools or process improvements What We Are Looking For: Current sophomore or junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field Strong interest in technology, innovation, and problem-solving Ability to think critically, analyze data, and communicate ideas clearly Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Exposure to tools or concepts such as Python, APIs, data visualization, or AI (preferred but not required) Why CyrusOne CyrusOne operates at the center of the digital economy, providing the infrastructure that powers cloud computing, AI, and enterprise technology worldwide. Requirements
