General The IT Specialist is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and administering company hardware, software, and IT systems. This role serves as the first point of contact for end-user technical support and plays a key role in ensuring seamless IT operations across the organization. This position requires availability to support a 24/7 IT environment, including after-hours and weekends.

Requirements

  • Five (5) or more years of experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt tonew technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team-oriented environment
  • Mustpossessa valid driver’s license and meet Company insurance standards
  • Must pass: Pre-employment drug test Criminal History Records Check (CHRC)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to travel asrequired

Nice To Haves

  • Aviation software experience is a plus, but notrequired
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions experience preferred
  • Experience withMobile Device Management (MDM)solutions
  • Scripting experience (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus
  • Familiarity withMicrosoft 365 and Azure (administration level)preferred
  • Experience working within aticketing system

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-user support and help desk services related to the Company’s information systems, as assigned by the Director of Information Services
  • Set up andassistend users with new or replacement hardware and softwarein accordance withCompany policies, guidelines, and regulations
  • Assistinmaintainingand updating the Company’sBusiness Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan (BCP/DRP)to ensure proper backup of critical systems and data
  • Analyze and recommend capital expenditures for hardware and software, orassistdepartments in doing so, to support IT/IS resources
  • Participate in beta testing of applications and systems; troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions prior to production rollout
  • Monitor IT/IS systems in production to ensure compliance, stability, and reliability
  • Assistin developing and improving IT processes, procedures, and policies to enhance security andidentifycost savings
  • Provide input and guidance on implementation ofnew technologies, including feasibility assessments and deployment planning
  • Monitor, implement, and enforce elements of the Company’s cybersecurity policies and procedures as directed by Senior Management
  • Stay current on trends, technologies, regulations, and best practices in IT/IS, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Services, CFO, or CEO
