This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills and abilities that are critical components of the position for Maintenance Director. General This is a full-time, FLSA exempt position that will report to the Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. The Maintenance Director must meet the requirements of FAA 14 CFR 119.67(e). He/she oversees outside contract and Company Flight Mechanics, the Maintenance Control department, and all related line/heavy maintenance activities, while working closely with the Director of Quality, the Director of Technical Services, Director of Operations, and Vice President of Maintenance and Engineering. The Maintenance Director is responsible for assuring the Company’s various maintenance tasks and inspections are in full compliance with all FAR requirements for the airline and ensuring the Company’s GMM requirements are met. The Maintenance Director is a key safety position, which ensure all Eastern Airlines personnel, process and procedures, promote safety, security, quality and regulatory compliance for all Eastern Airlines operations.
