About The Position

Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Requirements

• Must possess excellent teamwork abilities; be able to consistently make intelligent decisions under pressure; possess good judgment, initiative and good attitude.
• Solid communication skills, strong critical and analytical thinking skills, and appreciation of diversity.
• Must speak English and Spanish fluently.
• Be able to maintain knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Ability to communicate technical terminology to the user community in a way they can relate to and understand.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office products and willingness to learn website content management tool for backup purposes and system management tools.
• Must know how to work with CISCO, VMWARE, DBA, Fortinet and/or CCNA Certification.
• Experience configuration of Microsoft and UNIX server platforms and network components, including Cisco switches and router.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience setting up PCs and server hardware.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and support to the end user community and fellow team members on computer operations and other areas as needed.
• Maintain operating systems, backups, and server hardware.
• Liaise and provide assistance to other IT functional areas as needed.
• Respond to calls, email, and personal requests for technical support for the end user.
• Diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
• Recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
