For more information, please visit www.youthvillages.org Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The IT Security and Systems Manager: Leads, mentors, and supports a team of system administrators by fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment Oversees day-to-day operations of server, network, and system infrastructure Guides the team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of monitoring tools and solutions Coordinates and leads IT projects, ensuring timely and successful completion of initiatives Acts as a key resource for both the systems administration team and other IT teams by offering guidance and support on complex technical issues Drives cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards Develops and enforces system policies, procedures, and documentation Provides advanced troubleshooting support for hardware, software, and network-related issues Collaborates with stakeholders to identify technology needs and solutions Monitors and report on system performance, uptime, and incident resolution metrics Additional Information: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment as needed and provide off-hours support when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (required)
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
  • 5+ years of experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure roles (required)
  • 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity (required)
  • Strong understanding of server (Windows/Linux), networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals (required)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal, and oral skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Cisco CCNA, or similar (preferred)
  • Experience with ITIL practices or project management methodologies (preferred)
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level tools for monitoring, logging, and automation (preferred)
