About The Position

Western Digital is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of complex technology initiatives across IT Infrastructure, InfoSec and Engineering IT organizations. In this role, you will partner closely with IT leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. You will lead cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timely execution within budget, and stakeholder satisfaction. Drive project governance, risk management, and continuous improvement across WD initiatives. Teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience managing IT projects in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale technology initiatives (e.g., infrastructure, applications, ERP, cloud, data, or cybersecurity).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and DevOps concepts.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, MS Project, ServiceNow PPM)
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong technical acumen across cloud, infrastructure, applications, or data systems
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in global or distributed team environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or technology companies.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budget tracking and vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects, from initiation through closure, using established project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports, and budget oversight.
  • Manage cross-functional teams, including internal IT resources and external vendors or system integrators.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies; escalate as appropriate.
  • Facilitate project governance activities, including steering committee updates and executive communications.
  • Ensure alignment with IT architecture standards, security requirements, and compliance policies.
  • Drive change management and adoption planning to support successful implementation.
  • Track and report on project performance, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Continuously improve project management practices, tools, and processes.
