About The Position

Heritage Bank is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to manage complex technology projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with the bank’s strategic roadmap. The ideal candidate will drive the successful delivery of complex infrastructure and architecture projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud, network, and end-user computing solutions while maintaining strict adherence to security and regulatory standards. This role will be relied upon and excel at managing vendor relationships, mitigating risks, and maintaining clear, consistent communication across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university in business, technical, or equivalent field required.
  • PM - 2+ years Recent project management experience which includes working knowledge of financial, information technology (IT), information systems (IS), and operational group requirements for all banking business lines including credit, deposit and asset management key functions in a community bank and/or financial services industry required.
  • PM Senior - 5+ years recent relevant project management experience, which includes in-depth working knowledge of financial, information technology (IT), information systems (IS), and operational requirements for all banking business lines and key functions for both bank and asset management platforms, in a community bank and financial services industry environment required. Experience with Waterfall methodology as well as exposure to Agile methodology.
  • Ability to drive projects and hold multiple parties accountable for achieving deliverables and keeping the project on the critical path.
  • Excellent communication/ interpersonal skills combined with ability to communicate effectively, clearly and persuasively in a variety of settings, formats, and audiences across business lines at all levels.
  • Ability to provide an exceptional level of quality service and respond to customers' needs, questions and concerns in an accurate, effective, and timely manner to solicit feedback to improve service.
  • Ability to lead business and Information Technology (IT) projects.
  • Assertiveness and planning skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability make decisions or escalate, as appropriate, under pressure of time constraints.
  • Strong research, time management, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet concurrent deadlines.
  • Strong technical, problem-solving, and analytical reasoning skills to understand end user's requirements and transform into operational application and technical alternatives.
  • Working knowledge of related statutory banking and compliance regulations, operational policies and procedures, and the Bank’s products and services of assigned business unit, i.e., deposits, loans, etc.
  • Working knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Unquestionable integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information required.
  • Proficient use and understanding of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Project); and working knowledge of financial industry core processing systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI upon hire preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and manages project scope, goals, risk mitigation plans, and deliverables that support business goals, in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develops full-scale project plans and associated communication documents for a variety of purposes and audiences. Develop and maintain other project documents required by the department.
  • Interfaces with business lines, finance, HR, application developers, IT technical staff and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines are achieved.
  • Assist Business Owners with testing project requirements.
  • Liaisons with project stakeholders and senior management on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimates resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Tracks project actuals and validate against estimates. Request budget changes as needed.
  • Determines and assesses the need for additional staff; requests resources as needed.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identifies and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Liaisons and works with external vendors to develop joint project plans and provide oversight and direction to external resources to ensure goals and deliverables are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Provides project coordination and support to the department, ranging from developing and managing meeting schedules, providing meeting support, facilitating project communication, and coordination and troubleshooting problems.
