About The Position

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores is seeking an IT Project Manager II to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives across multiple business units, including Construction, Environmental, Real Estate, and Facilities Maintenance. This role partners with business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver software integration and data-driven projects that enhance operational efficiency, system performance, and customer experience. The IT Project Manager II operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing multiple concurrent projects of moderate complexity. This role applies structured project management methodologies, drives cross-functional alignment, and leverages modern tools, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve delivery speed, enhance decision-making, and increase overall team productivity.

Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in IT project management, project delivery, or business analysis
  • Experience leading moderate-complexity projects with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Exposure to software development, system integration, and data-related initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar platforms)
  • Working knowledge of data integration, data validation, and system workflows
  • Ability to leverage AI and automation tools to enhance reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Analytical thinking and structured problem-solving capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with third-party vendors and managing external partnerships preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP or similar ERP platforms preferred
  • Exposure to facilities, construction, or environmental systems (e.g., ServiceChannel, Procore, or similar tools) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology and software integration projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and communication strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business partners, software development, data teams, and third-party vendors
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, and dependencies to ensure successful and timely delivery
  • Provide clear, concise, and proactive communication to stakeholders, including executive-level reporting
  • Facilitate requirements gathering, documentation, and validation in partnership with business and technical teams
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve issues, and manage conflicts to maintain project momentum
  • Manage scope changes through structured change control processes and impact assessments
  • Ensure data integrity, validation, and quality throughout system and application integration efforts
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and operational impact
  • Lead project governance activities, including status reviews, steering committee updates, and stakeholder alignment
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement through lessons learned
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools to streamline project planning, status reporting, documentation, and communication workflows
  • Utilize AI to analyze project data, identify risks, and support more informed decision-making
  • Drive adoption of AI solutions within project teams to improve productivity, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery timelines
  • Identify opportunities to incorporate automation and AI into business and technical processes supported by projects
  • Supports broader team and enterprise goals by proactively contributing to initiatives outside of core responsibilities.
