In your role, you may work from the following Medtronic sites: • Mounds View, Minnesota • Fridley, Minnesota (OHQ) • Rice Creek, Minnesota • Boston, Massachusetts • Lafayette, Colorado • Irvine, California (UCI) • Jacksonville, Florida • Fort Worth, Texas • Memphis, Tennessee This role will require 10% of travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects. As an IT Project Lead, you will lead the coordination and execution of assigned project activities for enterprise and cross functional initiatives. Take ownership of day to day project management tasks for initiatives within Enterprise Architecture, Global Functions, and the SAP organization, working under the direction of senior project managers or program leaders. The role is also responsible for driving execution across a variety of project types, including application development, systems integration, operational and process improvements, and application upgrades or deployments. The IT Project Lead will own the creation, maintenance, and accuracy of core project artifacts, including effort estimates, high level planning materials, cost tracking, work plans, resource plans, and project schedules. Proactively identify, document, and track project risks, issues, and dependencies, perform initial analysis, and recommend mitigation actions for review. You will prepare and deliver regular project status communications to team members and stakeholders, escalate risks and issues appropriately, and ensure assigned deliverables are completed in alignment with defined scope, schedule, and budget expectations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 0+ years of experience with an advanced degree
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Medtronic experience
  • Experience supporting IT projects in a matrixed organization
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel)
  • Basic understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders
  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile certification (or interest in pursuing) is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assigned IT projects or project workstreams under the direction of a senior project manager or program lead.
  • Support project execution across the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, and close out activities.
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, action logs, and documentation.
  • Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables; escalate risks and issues as needed.
  • Maintain project budgets, resource coordination, and vendor coordination.
  • Prepare status reports, meeting materials, and project communications.
  • Facilitate project meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Ensure compliance with Medtronic IT standards, quality system procedures, and project governance processes.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team members to support successful project outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
