About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on IT Operations Support professional with strong restaurant POS experience to support our restaurant locations. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing point-of-sale systems and related technology infrastructure to ensure seamless daily operations. The ideal candidate understands the urgency of restaurant environments and can provide timely, effective technical support.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of IT support experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Hands-on experience supporting restaurant POS systems
  • Strong understanding of networking basics (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, VPNs)
  • Experience supporting payment processing systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings/weekends
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-unit restaurant groups
  • Familiarity with O365 Workspace administration
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain restaurant POS systems (e.g. Toast, Focus, Micro 3700)
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to terminals, handhelds, printers, cash drawers, KDS and payment devices
  • Support POS configuration, menu deployments, pricing updates, and integrations
  • Coordinate POS upgrades, patches, and system rollouts
  • Support online ordering integrations and third-party delivery platforms
  • Provide support for restaurant locations
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues (routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points)
  • Support back-office systems (Restaurant365), timekeeping, and payroll integrations (7Shifts, Hot Schedules, Paylocity)
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues
  • Maintain hardware inventory and coordinate equipment replacements
  • Document incidents, solutions, and system configurations
  • Partner with Operations and restaurant leadership to support business needs
  • Train managers on POS best practices and basic troubleshooting
  • Assist with new restaurant openings, including system setup and onsite support as needed
