About The Position

The IT Operations Manager will take a leadership role in implementing and maintaining the company’s IT strategy and technology plan. This includes establishing provisions for evaluation and periodic updating of systems to ensure they meet organizational needs. The IT Operations Manager works directly with IT maintenance and software service providers and oversees the Disaster Recovery Plan. This role is responsible for the effective operation and management of the company’s information systems and related services functions. The IT Operations Manager establishes strong communication with executives and department managers to ensure IT resources align with business objectives and manages special projects and resource allocation as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Minimum of 4+ years of IT experience, with at least 2+ years in an IT Manager capacity.
Strong work ethic, high ethical standards, and self-confidence.
Excellent time management, budgeting, and fiscal skills.
Ability to support and uphold Hazard Analysis Critical Control (HACCP) policies.
Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening and relationship-building.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong administrative abilities.
Proficient with telephone, email, and other electronic communication tools.
Broad technical knowledge in computer science, computer education, and related technologies.
Substantial experience in the technology field, including hands-on implementation and management of IT systems.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Paycom, UKG, and FreshByte systems.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, MCSE, CISSP.
Experience implementing enterprise software, ERP systems, or large infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s IT strategy, policies, and procedures.
Work with principals, department heads, and other stakeholders to implement technology plans and ensure IT services meet operational needs.
Meet with department managers regularly to assist with IT implementation and support overall functionality of services.
Oversee the maintenance, performance, and security of computer workstations, servers, networks, and all IT equipment.
Manage relationships with IT vendors, maintenance, and software service providers.
Maintain and monitor the Disaster Recovery Plan to ensure business continuity.
Lead and supervise the IT team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and productivity.
Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures as outlined in the Peddler’s Son Safety Manual.
Manage IT-related projects, budgets, and resource allocation.
