The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of network protocols, server administration, and cloud technologies, combined with hands-on experience in automation and troubleshooting. Success in this role requires adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or DevOps.
  • Proficiency with Windows computer/server environments.
  • Previous work/understanding of server virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, SolarWinds).
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware VCP, or CompTIA Server+.
  • Experience with Linux Servers.
  • Experience with Oracle DB administration.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and service management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
  • Specific experience with Fortigate Firewall administration is a plus.
  • Understanding of server/networking redundancy and disaster recovery mechanisms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage system upgrades, patches, and backups.
  • Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
  • Collaborate with MES and SecOps teams to ensure system integrity and compliance for production line systems and supporting infrastructure.
  • Manage incident response and root cause analysis for system outages and performance issues.
  • Maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
  • Support deployment and integration of new technologies and tools.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems, including MES, DNS, and related infrastructure.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
