About The Position

Role SummaryAs an integral member of the IT regional organization, this role is dedicated to supporting and facilitating secure Operational Technology (OT) systems across MANN+HUMMEL’s manufacturing sites in the Americas region. The IT/OT Support Specialist acts as a bridge between traditional IT and OT environments and will be the primary OT knowledge holder for the region. This position also contributes to global OT initiatives in close collaboration with international IT and OT teams.Main Tasks Creating a comprehensive definition of specifications for required machines, tools and materials to enhance functionality Developing detailed planning, application and verification of production processes for new developments to ensure quality Analysing and facilitating effective cooperation with R&D and Operations to align product and process requirements efficiently Applying strategic proposals for process improvements and innovations while identifying and sharing best practices across teams Implementing rigorous testing to prove process capability prior to releasing it for mass production programs to ensure success Implementing efforts to meet quality standards and ensure compliance with HR regulations, data protection laws and health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements

Requirements

  • Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in IT support roles with a strong focus on OT environments, preferably within manufacturing
  • 5 years MS SQL Server experience (administration and scripting)
  • Hands-on knowledge of SCADA systems (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Rockwell, Schneider) and industrial networking protocols (will not be programming PLCs)
  • Experience with enterprise network security and segmentation tools (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto)
