About The Position

The IT Mobile/Desktop Support Technician role supports and maintains technology, equipment, and IT assets. This includes installing, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading all mobile; laptop; and desktop hardware and equipment while ensuring its optimal performance. Technicians also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion as well as provide end user training and assistance where required.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a similar technical role.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS desktop operating systems and MS Office applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware and software systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate technical issues both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment.
  • Ability to lift standard computer equipment.
  • Ability to work on-site in North Canton, Ohio

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant IT certifications are a plus. (CompTIA A+/Network+; Microsoft MCSA/MCSE or Azure Role-Based Certifications).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is also a plus.
  • 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technology issues with hardware, software, network, web and mobile device related issues and requests.
  • Work with end users to identify and deliver required PC service expectations.
  • Provide training and support to end users and staff on computer operation and other issues.
  • Install, image, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware; networked peripheral devices; printers; mobile devices; and networking hardware products.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software.
  • Automate basic tasks.
  • Improve existing workflows.
  • Manage ticketing system workload and respond regarding mobile, desktop, and other hardware related problems.
  • Maintain an inventory of all monitors, keyboards, hard drives, printers, scanners, and other peripheral equipment.
  • If necessary, work with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
