About The Position

The IT manager will be an integral part of Amigo's technology department, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all computer-related activities to ensure the infrastructure is both high-performing and ironclad. The ideal candidate balances technical mastery with leadership, ensuring that networks, software, and hardware not only run smoothly today but are prepared for future challenges.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Direct experience working in an early stage start-up as part of a small or solo IT team
  • Deep understanding of network administration, cloud computing, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects from conception to completion.
  • A sharp analytical mind capable of troubleshooting critical system failures under pressure.
  • Ability to translate complex technical jargon into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IT strategies and projects that align with the organization’s overarching goals.
  • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of the organization’s networks (LAN/WAN), hardware (servers, workstations), and software suites.
  • Direct all data security operations, including firewall management, backups, disaster recovery protocols, and internal audits to protect sensitive information.
  • Manage the IT annual budget, ensuring cost-effective procurement of hardware and software licenses.
  • Monitor system performance regularly to identify bottlenecks and implement "best-practice" solutions for increased efficiency.
