About The Position

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to serve as our primary technology leader. This hands-on role combines strategic infrastructure planning with day-to-day technical execution. You will own our IT infrastructure, systems, and operations while collaborating with a Managed Services Provider, internal stakeholders, and end-users. This is not a pure management position. You will balance strategic planning with direct technical support, troubleshooting, system administration, and user training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, helpdesk, or similar technical roles
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently
  • Experience managing IT operations in small to mid-size organizations or in roles requiring multiple technical responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendor and service provider relationships
  • Experience with Active Directory administration and user account management
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including understanding of permissions management and security protocols
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Familiarity with help desk or IT service management systems and best practices
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles, data protection, encryption, and compliance requirements
  • ordinary ambulatory skills to move around the office and visit other locations
  • able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate light to medium weights (10-50 pounds)
  • Good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and visual acuity are required for keyboard work and reading technical documentation
  • This position requires on-site presence at our Fort Worth headquarters and may require periodic work outside standard business hours for system maintenance, updates, or emergency support

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement technical solutions that address IT infrastructure needs and support business objectives
  • Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
  • Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networks, operating systems, cloud-based platforms, and applications
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software across all company devices; perform system imaging and OS deployment
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls in Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Configure and support collaboration tools including Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues including VPN, Wi-Fi, and remote access
  • Manage IT asset inventory, software licenses, and licensing compliance
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend system upgrades and security improvements
  • Manage vendor and service provider relationships; negotiate contracts and monitor vendor performance
  • Provide technical guidance and training to staff; create documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Participate in IT planning and allocate resources to support business objectives
