About The Position

GENERAL SUMMARY The IT Manager is responsible for managing and supporting the information technology related functions across the organization. The primary duties of this position are the security of the company’s computer systems and electronic data, development and implementation of customised systems and overseeing all computer-related activities. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provides user support and customer service to physicians and staff to resolve software and hardware issues. Responsible for developing and maintaining computer networks between locations and/or care centers. Contributes to determining hardware and software specifications. Administers information security software and controls, analyzing security system logs and security system data. Communicates security information up and down to all levels of the organization. Reviews reports of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and addresses problems. Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans. Develops new network analysis strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs. Manages IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, and monitoring performance. Performs other position related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-oriented with ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and services. Experience with computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows software, including server, office, and exchange.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in innovation, IT, technology, or engineering.
