This is a hands on technical role for a seasoned technologist who can work with a team while rolling up their sleeves to deliver outcomes at scale.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft: Azure Administrator Associate; Microsoft 365 Administrator.
  • Networking/Security: Cisco (CCNP/CCNA), Fortinet NSE.
  • ITSM: ITIL Foundation/Intermediate.
  • 8+ years in enterprise IT, including 3+ years leading or managing technical teams.
  • Proven end-to-end delivery of multi-phase migrations (at least two of: M365, Google Workspace, Exchange Online, identity consolidation, collaboration/voice, endpoint management).
  • Expert-level admin with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID; strong MDM/Endpoint Management experience.
  • Strong networking foundation: TCP/IP, routing (OSPF/BGP), switching (L2/L3), wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS/DHCP; hands-on with at least one major firewall platform.
  • Scripting/automation with PowerShell; familiarity with Terraform.
  • Experience with service desk reporting, monitoring/observability and incident/problem/change processes (e.g. Zendesk or Freshservice).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and executive-ready reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions (IT integrations).
  • Cloud networking and security in Azure and ideally GCP.
  • Zero Trust/SASE exposure and EDR/XDR.
  • Video/telephony integration for Microsoft Teams.
  • Compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 2700) and data protection (DLP, retention, eDiscovery).
  • CI/CD for infrastructure, configuration management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end company and platform migrations: M365 tenant-to-tenant, Exchange on-prem → Exchange Online, Google Workspace → M365, Box/Dropbox/Google Drive → OneDrive/SharePoint, identity consolidation (Active Directory → Microsoft Entra ID), and collaboration/voice migrations (Teams, Slack, Zoom).
  • Own migration playbooks, cutover plans, rollback strategies, test plans, and stakeholder communications.
  • Drive discovery, data mapping, coexistence strategies, and post-migration stabilisation with clear success metrics.
  • Coordinate across security, legal and HR to meet compliance, privacy, and change management requirements.
  • Oversee enterprise platforms: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Identity & Access, Endpoint Management (Kaseya Pro), Adobe Creative Cloud, Device/OS lifecycle, and collaboration/voice services.
  • Enforce configuration baselines, policies, and security controls (MFA/SSO, Conditional Access, device compliance, data loss prevention).
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Bicep/ARM/Terraform) for repeatable configs; leverage automation (PowerShell, Python) to minimise toil.
  • Establish robust monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes; ensure backup, DR, and high availability.
  • Lead and mentor a small team; set goals, conduct reviews, and build career paths alongside the IT Director.
  • Own change/release processes (ITIL), risk assessments, standards, and documentation.
  • Work alongside a cyber security analyst to ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and adhering to other security standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships, evaluate tools/partners.
  • Operate and improve office and cloud networking: routing/switching, VLANs, QoS, wireless, firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet), SD‑WAN, VPN, NAT, DNS/DHCP, load balancing.
  • Manage cloud networking: Azure VNets/Peering, ExpressRoute/Site‑to‑Site VPN, Private Endpoints, load balancers, application gateways and WAF.
  • Enhance performance, resilience, and security; implement Zero Trust/SASE-aligned designs, segmentation, and 802.1X/NAC where appropriate.
