THE ROLE The Information Technology Manager leads the planning, implementation, security, and performance of all technology systems supporting Huntington Place. This role ensures reliable connectivity, cybersecurity readiness, end-user support, and scalable infrastructure to support both daily operations and large-scale live events. The IT Manager is a hands-on leader, strategic problem solver, and trusted partner across departments. Success in this role requires technical depth, operational agility, strong communication, and the ability to perform under pressure in a live-event environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible IT experience, including supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, is required
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise networks, hardware support, cybersecurity, and business software platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage incidents, and solve complex problems in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lbs and traverse large event spaces as needed.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and build inclusive, respectful working relationships.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong professional judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with VMware, and CLI, preferred.
  • Experience in venues, hospitality, large facilities, or event-driven environments preferred.
  • Microsoft certifications strongly preferred.
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, GCIH, SSCP, or GSEC preferred.
  • Experience with event management systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain all network infrastructure, including wired, wireless, and fiber connectivity.
  • Oversees data centers, CCTV, servers (on-premise, virtual and cloud), storage systems, VOIP system, and backup solutions.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of internet services for events and operations.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain operating systems, servers, and enterprise software.
  • Monitor system performance, network traffic, and application health; troubleshoot and escalate outages as needed.
  • Administer system backups, disaster recovery, archiving, and risk assessments.
  • Manage cybersecurity controls including firewalls, endpoint protection, access controls, and security monitoring.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT security best practices, compliance standards, and threat mitigation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop IT staff with a focus on growth, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Manage IT departmental budget; assess needs, forecast costs, and optimize resources.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs.
  • Track hardware and software assets including procurement, lifecycle management, upgrades, and disposal.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and staff productivity.
  • Serve as liaison to third-party vendors; manage contracts and coordinate support services.
  • Support capital projects with technical expertise and planning.
  • Participate in procurement processes and prepare leadership briefs and executive reports.
  • Generate high-level reporting for leadership as required.
  • Work effectively in an environment with shifting priorities and time-sensitive demands.
  • Provide leadership during incidents, outages, and emergency response situations.
  • Be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and early mornings as operational needs require.
  • Other duties as assigned, including special projects.
