Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; Equivalent experience considered
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Information and Technology Systems preferred, including internal/shared/outsourced systems, multiple hardware platforms, integration, and communication systems.
  • Required minimum 2 years management experience of direct reports, in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Required minimum 2 years’ Cerner experience, including support, implementation, and upgrades preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of unique healthcare, including hospital operating systems, hardware, EHR, and network infrastructure
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, systems, and applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, train, and motivate team members to maintain organizational standards of care.
  • Financial management skills in administering an IT budget
  • Excellent skills in organization, prioritization, and technical & project management
  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to make decisions for the organization based on a higher degree of technical complexity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain diverse technical problems in easy-to-understand language.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and success in CMS Meaningful Use, Electronic Health Record Incentive Program, and HIPAA regulations to promote organizational operability
