About The Position

The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of H&S Energy Group’s IT operations and support functions. This position oversees the infrastructure, network, cloud services, and end-user support capabilities that enable reliable business operations across corporate offices and retail and fuel locations. The role focuses on ensuring system uptime, resolving tickets efficiently, implementing cybersecurity controls, and effectively managing asset lifecycles. The IT Manager plays a central role in operationalizing best-practice IT and security standards, ensuring that infrastructure remains scalable to support ongoing business expansion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, including leadership or supervisory responsibility
  • Experience supporting infrastructure across multi-site or retail environments strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, cloud platforms, and endpoint management
  • Practical understanding of cybersecurity practices and tools, including MFA, firewalls, and security monitoring
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workloads, and prioritize issues in a dynamic environment
  • Clear, concise communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Directs daily IT operations, including help desk, onsite technical support, and remote support for field and store teams
  • Establishes and monitors service-level expectations for incident response, ticket resolution, and user satisfaction
  • Defines and implements standardized operating procedures for support, escalation, and problem management
  • Oversees the design, maintenance, and performance of network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, and connectivity solutions) for corporate and store locations
  • Manages servers, cloud environments, virtual infrastructure, and endpoint devices to ensure reliability and scalability
  • Coordinates infrastructure upgrades, hardware refresh cycles, and network reconfigurations to support new sites, remodels, or operational changes
  • Implements and enforces cybersecurity policies related to firewalls, multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, patch management, and privileged access
  • Manages backup and recovery procedures to protect critical systems and data, including regular testing of disaster-recovery and business-continuity plans
  • Monitors security events and collaborates with the Enterprise Systems Manager on risk assessment, incident response, and remediation
  • Works closely with the Business Systems & Infrastructure Administrator on infrastructure components of ERP, surveillance, and key business-system projects
  • Supports deployment and integration of enterprise applications at new and existing sites
  • Provides operational input into technology projects to ensure supportability and maintainability of solutions
  • Oversees IT asset inventory, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and retirement of equipment
  • Manages vendors and service providers for hardware, connectivity, and managed services, ensuring contracts and service delivery meet organizational needs
