About The Position

This Part-Time Intern position within the Information and Technology Department provides technical support, assists with hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and system maintenance while gaining hands-on experience working with the IT staff. The role involves assisting with Help Desk Support by responding to user support tickets, diagnosing hardware/software issues, and providing troubleshooting support for staff regarding laptops, printers, and other IT software. The intern will also be responsible for performing system backups and maintaining accurate records. Adherence to all policies, laws, regulations, and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures is required.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently competed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, familiar with operating systems and knowledge of basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication, customer services, and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff vendors, payers, and clients.
  • Must have a valid PA driver’s license.
  • Must not be excluded in participation of Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
  • Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from PA State Police, Child Abuse Clearance from the PA Department of Human Services and FBI Fingerprint Clearances.
