About The Position

The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more

We are looking for a motivated and curious Data Engineering Intern to join our
growing data team. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute to real
projects that support our mission-driven organization — helping us turn raw data
into reliable, actionable insights. You will work closely with experienced data
engineers and analysts, gaining exposure to the full data lifecycle: from
ingestion and transformation to modeling and visualization. This is a summer
internship (June through August) and will be no more than 29 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines that extract, load, and transform data from various source systems.
• Support the team in writing clean, well-documented Python and SQL code.
• Help monitor pipeline performance and flag data quality issues as they arise.
