About The Position

The IT Technician Intern assists in developing new software, maintaining existing systems or providing technical support to employees and customers. Essential Job Functions: The IT Technician Intern will provide support for a variety of technology solutions. Provide exceptional customer service while responding to phone, email, and online requests for technical support. Clearly identify, document, and find solutions for technical PC issues, product problems, and software infrastructure Troubleshoot and resolve PC incidents. Support computer software integration by diagnosing and troubleshooting common problems. Support current project and daily tasks related to support offerings, software and hardware upgrades, and new user set up. Track and monitor all support cases to ensure timely resolution and follow-up. Provide hardware and software technical support through remote communication. Ability to convey technical information to non-technical users in a clear and understandable manner. Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with PC hardware and Microsoft software
  • Ability to show initiative to identify and solve interesting technical problems and share the results with the wider organization.
  • Excellent analysis and debugging skill.
  • Experience in IT or a technology-related environment, which can include internship, part time, or academic/work-study experience.
  • Works independently with the ability to multi-task while having excellent attention to detail.
  • A creative thinker with excellent interpersonal, communication, analytic, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have an eager drive to learn, adapt, be accountable, and grow into the role.
  • Working towards a college degree in Computer Science or Information Management.
