ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Assist IT staff with setup, imaging, and deployment of desktops and laptops Provide basic helpdesk support and assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues Assist with user account support such as password resets and account setup under supervision Support installation and updates of operating systems and software applications Assist with printer, monitor, and peripheral setup Help track and inventory IT equipment and technology assets Assist with maintaining helpdesk tickets and responding to user requests Support basic network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting Participate in IT projects and technology rollouts as assigned Provide professional customer service to City staff QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Current Junior/Senior or Graduate level student enrolled in an accredited four-year degree college or university pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field OR a recent graduate within 1 year of degree received in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Possession of a valid driver’s license preferred Ability to pass a background check KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES: Basic understanding of networking concepts Passion to learn, accept responsibility, and develop leadership skills. Motivated self-starter able to work independently Data Utilization: Requires the ability to calculate and/or tabulate data. Competency in various computer software programs, such as Windows, Microsoft Office and Internet applications. Includes performing subsequent actions in relation to these computational operations Human Interactions: Requires the ability to work effectively in a team environment Verbal Aptitude: Requires the ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and descriptive data and information. Strong written and oral communication skills Mathematical Aptitude: Requires the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division Functional Reasoning: Strong research and analytical skills.
