About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and tech-curious IT Intern to join our Technology Team in St. Louis, MO for a summer internship. If your skillset aligns with one of these three disciplines: ERP Systems & .NET Development, AI-Development & Business Transformation, or IT Support & Infrastructure and you’re wanting to apply what’ve you learned in an enterprise environment, then look no further! Based on your experience, we have the following projects outlined below and will algin you to the one that best fits your skillset and experience. What began in Nick Tacony’s basement as a post-war, start-up company 80 years ago has since grown into an internationally recognized global products company with 8 locations, 300+ employees, and successful sales in over 100 countries. Now operating under experienced 3rd generation family leadership, Tacony Corporation (“Tacony”) is ready to write its next chapter as a distributor, manufacturer, wholesaler, and marketer of diverse and innovative products in the sewing, home floor care, and commercial cleaning marketplace. Requirements

  • Current Junior or rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or other related IT field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
  • A persistent, curious problem-solver mentality – you don’t just fix issues, you investigate the why

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of overall work experience, with at least 1 year in a role related to your field or study, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day support of our Epicor ERP environment
  • Troubleshoot user issues, maintain data integrity, and learn enterprise business logic
  • Follow how a single transaction flows through each department of the business from manufacturing, to distribution, to sales, and finance
  • Dig into databases and workflows to identify where processes break down
  • Work hands-on with C# and the .NET framework
  • Build customizations, reports, and integrations that extend Epicor functionality
  • Learn to design scalable, maintainable enterprise solutions
  • Partner with departments to understand workflows
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and functional tools
  • Stay current on AI tools and trends
  • Share best practices and new capabilities across the organization
  • Identify repetitive or manual process across departments
  • Design AI-driven automations that improve efficiency and productivity
  • Use tools such as Make, Zapier, or Python, and API-based integrations
  • Build and iterate on internal tools using AI-assisted development platforms (e.g., Cursor, Replit)
  • Leverage LLMs, low-code platforms, and full-stack development to create functional prototypes
  • Lead workshops and 1-on-1 sessions on tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Custom GPTs
  • Comfortably move between scripting, API configuration, and prompt engineering
  • Serve as first-line support for internal technology issues
  • Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint), and hardware
  • Deliver customer-focused, professional IT support
  • Assist with user provisioning, license management, and security group configuration
  • Gain exposure to Azure, Active Directory, and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Shadow and support projects such as cloud migrations, network upgrades, and endpoint security rollouts via Intune
  • Assist with imaging, deployment, maintenance, and asset tracking of company devices
