About The Position

This paid internship at Palomar Health offers an opportunity to train with experienced IT professionals and gain hands-on experience in IT systems and Cloud infrastructure operations within a real-world healthcare environment. The intern will contribute to various IT functions, including server management, software installation, device configuration, and technical support. Requirements

Enrolled in a 2-year college with a Computer Science related major
Basic computer skills utilizing Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge of and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, internet, e-mail)

Nice To Haves

Enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college or university with a Computer Science related major
Understanding computer components and network concepts is a plus

Responsibilities

Train closely with experienced IT professionals and gain hands-on experience in IT systems and Cloud infrastructure operations
Assist with building servers
Install software
Configure and maintain system devices
Provide technical support to peers and hospital staff
Support cybersecurity activities
Validate and document processes and procedures
Participate in training and professional development opportunities
Shadow IT professionals and learn best practices in a real-world healthcare environment
Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position
Perform other duties as assigned
