CGI Federal is seeking a mid-level IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to provide technical support for LAN, IWS, and client-server environments in support of SSA's ITSSC program. The specialist will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and administration of computing platforms and network infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable operations across contractor and SSA sites. Candidates must be local to the Baltimore CGI office and in office a minimum of 2-3 days a week

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain US public trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in LAN administration, IT infrastructure support, or systems integration
  • Strong understanding of client-server environments, networking protocols, and workstation configuration
  • Experience with hardware/software inventory management and documentation
  • Familiarity with SSA systems and security protocols preferred
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in federal government environments
  • Knowledge of SSA network architecture and NCC integration
  • Ability to read and interpret site/floor plans for network planning
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Interface contractor LAN/IWS with SSA's National Computer Center (NCC).
  • Install and maintain contractor-acquired and government-furnished equipment, including workstations, servers, and networking hardware.
  • Administer LAN systems to ensure security, reliability, and compliance with SSA standards.
  • Develop justifications for new software, technical manuals, and training needs not identified in the original Project Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with SSA COTRs and the Program Director to coordinate network installations and meeting schedules.
  • Prepare and submit all required deliverables including quarterly Inventory Reports detailing hardware/software configurations
  • Assign and collect GFE from project members as part of onboarding and offboarding
  • Maintain all required documentation related to GFE
