About The Position

The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the strategic oversight of information systems, including but not limited to network, servers, cybersecurity, helpdesk, hardware and software administration and support. Hires, trains, and manages a team of server and network administrators, and helpdesk technicians. Researches and recommends technology decisions, to executive leaders and oversees implementation. Provides guidance and advice to executive leaders regarding IT matters to achieve business strategies. Ensure system security, compliance, and performance across all platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience; including leadership
  • Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
  • Familiarity in Cisco Routing & Switching (IOS), Firepowers, and Cisco Meraki MX’s, switches, wireless access points.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft 365, and Teams Phone.
  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere, MDM tools (e.g., Intune), and EDR solutions.
  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SNMP, syslog, and network monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of network segmentation, firewall policy, and Zero Trust architectures
  • Must reside on the island of Oahu and be available to work onsite in the office up to 5 days a week.
  • Position hours are Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
  • Starting times may be staggered to achieve full coverage.
  • Must be available for after hours on-call rotation schedule.
  • Occasional work outside of normal business hours may be necessary when unexpected technical problems arise.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the planning, analysis, recommendation, implementation of additions, deletions, and major modifications to the support infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the protecting against cybersecurity threats
  • Manages the administration and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, including LAN and WAN, Cisco Meraki, VMware environment, and storage infrastructure.
  • Support internal compliance efforts (e.g., NIST, STIGs, 8570), monitor threat vectors, and assist with vulnerability remediation.
  • Defines technical, operations, and network management IP-platform support solutions to meet partner requirements and then directs internal (and external, if necessary) resources to successful and timely presentation of the required solution elements.
  • Manages troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides expert support when necessary.
  • Responsible for managing all help desk activities and assists with or responds to escalated help desk issues in a timely manner.
  • Manages the purchasing of software, hardware and other IT supplies and ensures that company assets are maintained responsibly.
  • Manages, develops, and implements infrastructure security and provides direction and support of security policies and practices.
  • Assists in finding new vendors and working directly with the vendors and their teams on major projects.
  • Assists in the project management and reporting of major projects and initiatives.
  • Develops relationships with other internal departments and meets with individuals to understand how IT can support company and department objectives.
  • Remains at the forefront of emerging industry practices and manages the process of innovative change effectively.
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for emergency support and unplanned outages.
  • Responsible for planning, assigning and directing work; counseling employees, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. As the technical lead of IT Infrastructure, this position is also responsible for the training and mentoring of existing team members.
