About The Position

The IT Infrastructure & Support Manager is a hands-on technical leader responsible for day-to-day stability, security, and performance of IT systems and network across the company. This role supports business applications, devices, peripherals, and network equipment with an internal staff (3-4). This role will be working with an MSSP to assist with managing network and security. The manager is expected to actively troubleshoot issues, perform system administration, and lead by example in a fast-paced, operational environment where downtime directly impacts revenue. This is an in office position located at our HQ in Denver Tech Center About Us REIC Rentals is a trusted full-line equipment partner serving projects across North America. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of hands-on IT experience in infrastructure and end-user support.
  • 5+ years leading IT staff in an operational environment.
  • Strong experience building and leading teams to much higher level of delivery and impact.
  • Experience managing third-party MSP relationships.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of: Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure
  • Networking (firewalls, switching, Wi-Fi, VPNs, SD-WAN preferred), Endpoint management platforms (Intune, SCCM, etc.)
  • Networking fundamentals (firewalls, VPN, VLANs)
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals
  • Proven experience supporting multi-location or branch-based operations

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience supporting ERP platform user access and integrations.
  • Familiarity and experience solving, store, yards, and field mobile connectivity challenges.
  • ITIL and relevant infrastructure/security certifications.
  • Strong hands-on technical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work with MSP/MSSPMSSP to assist with troubleshooting of network outages, system performance issues, and hardware issues/failures.
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing cybersecurity controls across the company.
  • Co-manage access, endpoint protection, patch compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Support audits, insurance requirements, and cybersecurity readiness initiatives.
  • Support incident response for security or system events.
  • Maintain secure, reliable connections for office, store, shop and field workers.
  • Manage patching, backups, monitoring, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Administer and support core infrastructure maintenance and modifications including branch networks (firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs), cloud storage, backups, recovery, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, and endpoints.
  • Hold MSP accountable to SLAs, uptime metrics, and security standards.
  • Provide direct technical support for company's business applications.
  • Support office, branch and field operations including mobile phones, counter PCs, tablets, printers, barcode readers, scanners, and yard connectivity.
  • Ensure uptime and performance of systems supporting sales, operations and finance.
  • Partner with sales, operations and finance to resolve system issues that impact flow, accuracy, speed and customer service.
  • Actively participate in day-to-day IT support while leading the service desk function.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-impact incidents.
  • Define and enforce SLAs, escalation procedures, and on-call support models.
  • Ensure consistent IT support across all branches and operating hours
  • Lead, mentor, and develop IT Infrastructure staff.
  • Assign work, prioritize tickets, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and branch IT standards.
  • Build cross-training within the team to support branch coverage.
  • Assist with developing and managing the IT infrastructure budget.
  • Evaluate hardware, software, and service contracts.
  • Lead RFPs when appropriate.
  • Optimize licensing and infrastructure spend.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, reduce manual effort, and standardize branch technology.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies relevant to equipment rental operations.
  • Participate directly in system upgrades, ERP enhancements, and infrastructure modernization projects.
